Q: How is the SCAT transit service going to change?
The transit service is transitioning from fixed-route buses to minivans operated in an on-demand service response. Customers will be able to schedule rides by phone, website or mobile App.

Yes! ADA services will continue in the current vehicles, but with easier access for scheduling rides.
Q: How will I request a ride using an on-demand service?
You will be able to request a ride using a mobile App, by phone or website.
Q: Will the transit service still have bus stops?
No—the transit service will no longer have bus stops. Instead, you will be picked up and dropped off at a nearby location, depending on where you are coming from and going to.
Q: Will the transit service still operate on a schedule?
Yes! The service is projected to operate from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Q: Will the transit service still have a set fare?
Yes! The transit service will still have a set fare. However, the fare may vary depending on the distance traveled and number of passengers.
Q: Will there be a limit to the number of passengers in a minivan?
Yes! There will be a limit to the number of passengers in a minivan, based on the availability of seating.
Q: How will I pay for the service?
You will be able to pay online, through the mobile App, or in person. Service organizations and businesses will be able to purchase bulk amounts of rides to distribute.
