The Rental Property Registry is a tool for property owners to stay connected to city services and join our community in improving neighborhoods. This program helps to protect the public health, safety and welfare and eliminate blighting conditions. We can enhance property values by aspiring to higher standards for the rentals that make up nearly 50 percent of the households in the city.
Rental Property Registration Program
The City of Springfield has determined that the Self Inspection Checklist is not currently required to complete applications for rental property registration.
If you are a property owner who has recently submitted an appeal related to this former requirement, you may use the link below to indicate if you would like to withdraw your appeal or continue with your appeal process.
Annual fees:
- Single unit property, $35 each
- Two or more units within the same building properties, $25 each unit
- Maximum fee per owner and per LLC, $750
