The City of Springfield’s Neighborhood Street Paving Program continues to deliver long-term improvements to local infrastructure, with additional streets scheduled for paving in 2025. The program was launched following voter approval of the earned income tax levy in 2017, with a commitment that a portion of those funds would be dedicated to repairing neighborhood streets. Neighborhood streets completed in 2025 included: Irwin Avenue, Willow Drive, Cape Cod Drive, Doris Drive, Reading Drive, Dellwood Drive, Leland Drive, Eastmoor Drive, Mayfair Drive, Windsor Avenue, South Arlington Avenue, South Douglas Avenue, Cortland Drive, Feese Place, Villa Road and Bechtle Avenue.
Since the program began, more than 114 roadways have been repaved throughout Springfield, helping improve safety, drivability and neighborhood quality of life. The continued investment reflects the City’s commitment to maintaining streets and delivering on promises made to residents!
