All contractors who wish to perform work within the City of Springfield must obtain a contractor license or registration.

Before a contractor registration certificate can be issued, the following items must be submitted through the CityWorks portal:

• Completed contractor registration application
• Income tax business questionnaire
• Ohio workers’ compensation certificate
• Proof of liability insurance coverage
• $10,000 license and permit bond
• Current photo of the applicant
• Federal Tax Identification Number
• Police record release form
• Current State of Ohio contractor qualification certificate/license
