SPRINGFIELD (March 23, 2020) – Officials with the City of Springfield have announced the following closures, cancellations and postponements due to COVID-19.

911 Dispatch – Callers are advised that screening questions will be asked when they call, and emergency responders may ask residents to speak with them outside upon arrival. All other public services operating as usual.
American Red Cross – All local offices closed to the public.
Arbor Day 2020 – Annual event postponed to an undetermined date in Fall of 2020.
Bike to Work Day – May 15th event is canceled.
Community Beautification Committee (CBC) – Meeting scheduled at City Hall for April 2 is cancelled.
Citizens Police Academy – Spring session is canceled.
City of Springfield – Offices closed to the public until further notice.
Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) – March 23rd meeting is canceled.
NTPRD Basketball Courts — Closed to public until further notice.
NTPRD Parks – Until further notice, NTPRD playgrounds and the Warder Fit Stop will be closed to the public due to Governor Dewine’s Stay At Home Order. Parks will remain open during this time. We encourage individuals to practice social distancing while using the park system. NTPRD Playgrounds – Closed to public until further notice.
NTPRD Skateboard Park – Mitchell Blvd. park is closed to public until further notice.
Social Security Administration – All local Social Security offices are closed to the public for in-person service.
Springfield City Schools – Schools closed until April 6, 2020.
Springfield Fire Rescue Division – All offices closed to the public. All scheduled activities involving public interactions, including ride-alongs, tours, and fire inspections, are suspended. All other public services operating as usual.
Springfield Police Division – Records office closed to the public. All scheduled activities involving public interactions, including ride-alongs, are suspended. All other public services operating as usual.
Tenant Education Seminar – March 27th event is canceled.
