Important Update: RITA Now Collecting Springfield Income Tax

As of July 1, 2025, the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) is responsible for collecting municipal income tax for the City of Springfield.

RITA is a government agency formed by Ohio cities and villages to collect municipal income tax as a shared service.

Partnering with RITA provides Springfield residents and businesses with user-friendly online filing tools, efficient payment processing, and enhanced customer service, while also creating cost savings for the City.
