Small Business Services

The City of Springfield Small Business Services (SBS) division seeks to facilitate economic development among traditionally underserved populations. Our SBS staff can connect the underserved who have entrepreneurial goals to small business resources. The SBS division also offers minority business certification and registration with the City of Springfield.

The Small Business office at the City of Springfield offers the following services: Certification of Minority/Women businesses for City-sponsored contracting opportunities; Assistance with State of Ohio Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification; Assistance with procuring contract opportunities with MBE/WBE/DBE’s in Springfield; and Affirmative Action Plan approval for City-sponsored business activities.
