
Water Utility Customer Notice
City water utility customers may receive a letter in the coming days regarding the material of their water service line. Letters are being mailed to customers whose service line is identified as lead, galvanized requiring replacement or unknown.
Receiving this letter does not mean lead is present in your drinking water. The City’s drinking water is treated to prevent lead from leaching into the water and is regularly tested to ensure treatment effectiveness.
This outreach is part of a nationwide EPA requirement for water providers to identify and remove lead from service lines.
Your letter will include:
- Information about your service line status
- Health and safety information
- Steps to reduce any potential exposure
- Ways you can help update service line records
