Building Regulations
The Building Regulations Division supports safe, high-quality development throughout the City of Springfield by reviewing plans, issuing permits, and conducting inspections in accordance with state and city building codes. With the safety and security of the community as our top priority, the division works collaboratively with residents, contractors, developers, and partner agencies to ensure construction projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
The City is no longer accepting paper applications for Zoning or Building Regulation permits. All applications must be submitted through CityWorks. Please visit the CityWorks portal to create an account and submit your application online. If you need assistance with the online process or require a disability-related accommodation, please contact the Community Development Department at 937-324-7380. Thank you for your cooperation.
